What is the DevServer?
The DevServer is the location where courses are developed prior to student usage on the eLearning Learning Management System (LMS). It is also the step for courses that are to be migrated from WebCT CE 4 to the new eLearning LMS.

If a course doesn't appear on your list of courses on the DevServer, and you are planning to use eLearning, then please contact the IMIC.

Students do not have access to the DevServer. If you have a student that needs help with either the eLearning or WebCT 4 LMS have them contact the Student HelpDesk [IT] at: 435.586.5474.

Migration Information::
The migration is planned to take place during 2008. SCPS has purchased the new server and license. This means that there will be a migration of courses from the WebCT 4 server to the eLearning server. The process will take some time, which means that both LMS applications/servers will be operating until migration is complete. We will be contacting departments and faculty when we begin migration and training for each college. We are hopeful that this will happen quickly, efficiently and with minimized work for all. We do know that there are enough differences that everyone will need to participate in the orientation and general operation workshops. Again notifications will be sent out prior to the migration of each college/departmental courses for the workshops.
